The Town of Aylmer has a population of approximately 7018 persons. We offer a diversity of property types including commercial business, light industries and a large residential base.
The construction of the EECC was completed in 2004 as a joint project of both the Township of Malahide and the Town of Aylmer. The EECC includes a multi-purpose community hall for 600 people, which is capable of being divided into three smaller halls, and a hall on the mezzanine level overlooking the EastLink Arena that accommodates 178 people. There are two NHL size ice arenas, 13 dressing rooms with the primary arena seating 756 spectators and the secondary arena has bench seating for 366 spectators. There is parking for over 600 vehicles.represented by large rocks weighing 5000 pounds in total.
A community museum housing collections donated by area residents which are utilized in changing gallery display and thematic exhibitions. For history buffs, the Aylmer Museum houses an interesting collection of 19th century Victorian art pieces, a Glass Gallery containing examples of pressed, art, cut and depression glass, as well as a collection of business and private papers. The museum is open March to late November.
