Craven

Craven is a village located northeast of Lumsden, Saskatchewan in the Qu'Appelle Valley. It lies between the rural municipalities of Longlaketon No. 219 and Lumsden No. 189.

Craven is best known for host to an annual country music festival called the Craven Country Jamboree. It was originally called the Big Valley Jamboree, and was first established as a fundraiser for emotionally disturbed youth.  A successor event, the Kinsmen Rock'N the Valley rock music festival ran until 2004. The country music format was revived in 2005 and is continues to be very successful.

St. Nicholas Anglican Church can be found down some winding trails south of Craven.  The church is in excellent condition and is still a favorite place for and special events.
