Pilot Butte, known as "The Town That Cares", is a bedroom community 8 miles east of Regina.

The population of Pilot Butte today is approximately 2,000 people and growing. It is also home to a wide variety of businesses ranging from small service companies to the largest company, Dutch Industries, which is a farm equipment manufacturer with clients across the globe.

Pilot Butte has recreational facities such as a community rink, a community hall, and four ball diamonds. One of the summer highlights is the annual Rodeo which is held on Father's Day week-end every year.  Some of the amenities include a library, a senior care home, an insurance office, two convenience stores, two restaurants and take-out, a Roman Catholic Church, a number of day-care givers, a preschool, three manufacturing plants and a riding club.
