February 2013 Market Update

TREB reported 5,759 sales through the Toronto MLS in February 2013. This represents a decline of 15.4 per cent compared to 6,809 sales during the same period in 2012. Average Selling Price increased 2.1% in February to $510,580 compared to $500,249 in the same period last year and Average Days on Market increased to 28 days from 24 days versus last year.

TREB's Detached home sales declined -16.1% to 2,774 in February compared to last year and the Detached Average Selling Price increased 2.2% to $647,728 during the same period. Semi-Detached and Townhome February home sales declined to 616 (-14.9%) and 912 (-4.6%) respectively versus last year although corresponding Semi-Detached and Townhome Average Selling Price increased to $484,335 (5.6%) and $391,513 (6.7)%.

Condominium Apartment home sales declined -20.2% in February to 1,352 versus last year and in the same period the Average Selling Price declined -2.5% to $331,597.
