This January, TREB reported 4,375 sales through the Toronto MLS. This represents a small decline of 1.3 per cent compared to 4,432 sales in 2012.
Average January prices increased 4.3% to $482,648 compared to $462,655 in the same period last year and average Days on Market increased to 37 days from 32 days versus last year.
TREB's January 2013 Detached sales were 2,081 and increased slightly compared to last year (0.7%) and average Detached selling prices increased 4.7% to $612,252 during the same period. Semi-Detached and Townhome sales in January 2013 declined to 471 (-1.1%) and 685 (-2.3%) respectively versus last year although corresponding Semi-Detached and Townhome selling prices increased to $452,456 (6.5%) and $373,566 (4.0)%.
Condominium sales declined 5.1% to 1,051 in the same period with an average selling price of $318,542 (- 1.2% VYA).
