i am anexperienced career salesperson with Century 21 Classic Realty and have been with this office since 1985. I have continuously ranked among the province's top agents and have won many honours including three prestigious Centurion awards and MLS Gold (placing me in the Top 2% of metro agents by production in Halifax/ Dartmouth). I have specialised in new construction since 1985, and still enjoys working with builders and helping first time buyers attain their dreams. My military background has enabled me to advise and help hundreds of military clients with relocations across the country. I have given back to my profession and peersby volunteering many years for committee work at the Halifax?Dartmouth Real Estate Board, and finished off by serving 7 years as a Director and last President of the Halifax /Dartmouth Real Estate Board, and a year as Director on the board of NSAR. Together with my full-time business partner Anne Butler, our pledge is to give you exceptional service 100% of the time.
Personal Background
For over 20 years my wife Sandra Sandra and I were a team with Century 21 Classic Realty Ltd. During this career we raised 6 children. We have lived in the Eastern Passage/Forest hills area for over 40 years and considered ourselves local experts. When Sandra had to retire due to health reasons, I decided to team up with Anne Butler, an experienced agent in her own right, in order to provide full service to our past and future clients. Doug and Anne work 24/7 and arrange seperate vacation periods to ensure there is always one team member here to serve our clients.
Professional Background
I started my real estate career in 1984 and joined Century 21 Classic in 1985, after completing a 23 year military career in avation at CFB Shearwater. This former military background helped develope a knowledge of the local area and the needs of the military and their families in relocating to the area. As a result I have become well known as a local expert..
Professional Interests
With a long term military career behind him, Doug started in Real Estate and decided to volunteer his time with the Halifax-Dartmouth Real Estate Board rising to Director and finally as the last president of the board before merging with the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors. He then further volunteered as a director of the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors to help further the transition to this organization.

Personal Interests
Doug enjoys traveling in his motorhome with his wife Sandra. Often, most weekends are spent at race tracks all over the Maritime provinces following the pro-stock racing series. Doug takes pride in Sponsoring a local race team who race ever week at the Scotia Speedway located close to the Halifax Airport. Doug also enjoys various televised sports, especially Football and racing. When away from the racing, Doug enjoys a relaxing stroll with his puppy buffy.
