Remembrance Day

I hope that all of us took the time to Remember those who fought to keep our country free. I know that my father was in the Paratroopers during WW2. He never spoke about what went on when he was dropped behind enemy lines other than some funny things that happened. We were able to search through the National Archives to see where he may have gone. It is all still guarded and some of the reports are blocked out. I remember he spoke about finding a Harley that had been left behind and how he used it for a period of time. I can't even imagine what may have gone on over there. He did take a tour of Egypt with the UN Peacekeeping force in 1959. It seemed to be a holiday compared to the scene in Afghanistan. I am thankful that my father returned and I am proud of his 28 year career in the Military.
