The United Way of South Georgian Bay continues to provide valuable support to 11 Partner Agencies in the Georgian Triangle area.
These Partners include in no specific order;Home Horizon Georgian Triangle; Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle; Breaking Down Barriers; Canadian National Institute for the Blind; Community Action Program for Children Young Parent Resource Room; Community Connection(211); Deaf Access Simcoe;The Elizabeth Fry Society of Simcoe County; Georgian Literacy; Georgian Triangle Housing Resource Centre;YMCA of Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.
Each of these Partner Agencies provide valuable assistance to people in the Georgian Triangle. Their range of services provide things like helping find affordable housing, providing help, direction and shelter for women of an abusive relationship, interpretation services for hard of hearing, providing client services for people with disabilities, mentoring for youth who are without either a father or mother, support to people living with vision loss, assistance to young people who have run afoul of the law so they won't repeat, assistance to young mothers for the care of children at risk under the age of 6, an information resource to direct people to the right place for assistance, subsidies to families who can not afford the price of YMCA membership for their children, literacy and upgrading services to adults. These are just a few of the services.
