Kitchener Statues Project - 2 Million Dollars - Yes or No -

Kitchener's Victoria Park may see another facelift at it's popular clock tower entry way. The proposal would see 22 new life size statues of former Prime Ministers of Canada. The project is estimated to cost 2 Million Dollars, with much of the funding coming from private donors.

"The project will cost $2 million, and organizers, including Rodger, say they have $1.1 million already raised through pledges from private donors. They’re asking the city for a $300,000 contribution over three years to fund the bases of the statues, as well as the electrical and landscaping elements."

"The idea was put forward in November by the local citizens group who want the statues erected in time to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017"

However there has not been much positive support for the costly makeover, with people wondering what the significance of Prime Minister statues would be in Kitchener Ontario?

What do you think??
