Yesterday a group of Olympians visited a Kitchener school and taught the students the value of sports and how it can change your life.
" A gymnasium full of students at Doon Public School in Kitchener, ON joined Olympians as the Canadian Olympic Committee launched the latest classroom module of its Canadian Olympic Schools Program called Give Your Everything — Be A Champion For Life. The launch took place during Canadian Olympic Team Premier National Partner Bell Canada’s leading-edge mental health initiative Bell Let’s Talk Day."
“A lot of the time, people tend to forget how important the mental aspect of things are. A quote I go back to often is something I heard when I first started boxing: ‘Life is 10 per cent what happens to you and 90 per cent how you react to it.”
