Kinsmen Park and Area Master Plan Public Information Session
Wednesday, November 2, 2011
5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The Royal Canadian Legion
606 Spadina Crescent West

Kinsmen Park and Area Master Plan provides a long-term plan for the rejuvenation of the park and the adaptive re-use of the Mendel Art Gallery Building. The project will create a vibrant activity centre with a focus on children, enhanced site connections, and integration of activities on both sides of Spadina Crescent. It will test proposed ideas for the adaptive re-use of the Mendel Art Gallery Building, create a neighbourhood park for local and city-wide residents, review options for a festival site, and assess the need for technical site upgrades along the riverbank.

After this information session, the responses will be compiled and the Master Plan will be taken to City Council for approval.

The sponsor for the preparation of the Master Plan is PotashCorp. Sponsors for the implementation of the first phase of the Kinsmen Park and Area Master Plan are PotashCorp and Canpotex. Construction on a portion of the Master Plan could start in 2012.
