SASKATOON TRANSIT INTRODUCES NEW UNIVERSITY DIRECT ROUTE FROM STONEBRIDGE

The new University Direct #3 route provides direct service from regular bus stops in Stonebridge to the University. The service will operate Monday to Friday in the morning, except statutory holidays.

University Direct #3 – Stonebridge to U of S
Morning Service – 7:40 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.

This route will travel through Stonebridge similar to the Route 17 with the first stop at Galloway Road, just south of Stonebridge Boulevard (stop number 5483) and the last stop at Stonebridge Boulevard, just west of Galloway Road (stop number 5482). Route 17 will continue to operate as normal, for customers who need a stop outside Stonebridge and prior to the University.

“As with our downtown direct routes, this University direct route provides Stonebridge residents with a more affordable and convenient way to get to their destination,” says Bob Howe, Saskatoon Transit Manager. “Transit customers don’t need to worry about finding and paying for parking, and the cost to commute is less than driving your own vehicle.”

Saskatoon Transit introduced University Direct service from the Lakeview, Lakewood and Lakeridge neighbourhoods earlier this summer. After one year of operation, direct routes will be reviewed, and if successful, the enhanced service will continue and be applied from other appropriate areas of the city.
