Today I was looking in past ecology postings on the net. It came to my attention that a bird was seen in distress at Como Lake. It had a piece of plastic ring caught between its beak and neck and it is wasting away from the inability to eat. PLEASE make sure you dispose off plastic rings from Plastic liquid containers in a proper manner. Cut the ring. AND DO NOT LITTER with them. It is a small step in helping animals and birds that cannot take care of themselves.
