Established in 1973, the community of Cedarbrae is located in the southwest quadrant of Calgary between Southland Drive SW and Anderson Road SW.

Cedarbrae is a fairly quaint community with a population just over 6,000. The age distribution of this population is heavily weighted towards 35+, with almost half of the residents falling between the ages of 35 and 64 (City of Calgary, 2012).

Students in the Cedarbrae district typically attend the Cedarbrae School (K-6), Louis Riel School (7-9) and Henry Wise Wood High School. There are also several specialty schools located close by.

Cedarbrae is ten-minutes from the popular Shawnessy shopping area and next-door to the desirable Southland Mall.
