Welcome to my Website

Welcome to my website.  My name is Liz Liboiron and I have been listing and selling properties for 19 years.  I pride myself on my ability to listen to what people tell me and to act on that information.

I welcome new clients and am very happy to service past clients as well.  I enjoy working with 1st time buyers and those wishing to retire.  I am patient and will not be in a hurry to have you buy or sell.  You make the decisions and I  help you by giving you information on current market conditons and my 19 years of experience helping people to buy and sell properties.   I look forward to working with you.

House Inspections

In this busy world that we live in today, the last thing you want to think about when buying a home is whether there is anything wrong with the home.  We can't always see the underlying problems in a home therefore, a buyer would be prudent to hire the services of a reputable, home inspector.

I can certainly recommend a couple of them in our area that I have dealt with in the past who have proven to be among the best.  Money well spent.

The Brick in Peterborough, savings

When buying firm, through a Century 21 sales representative from our Cobourg or Port Hope offices, we will offer to you a certificiate from the Brick in Peterborough which allows you to make an appointment with its Manager and choose the items that you need.  The Brick will ensure that you receive very good discounts on the items that you need, be it furniture, appliances, televsions etc.

Only through a Century 21 All-Pro Realty (1993) sales representative.  Never forget to take advantage of the perks offered through our firm.  Well worth the call.

Professional Background

In 1969 I moved to Toronto from Timmins and joined the firm of Nesbitt Thomson as a back room employee. I was headhunted in 1971 and joined Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon and Co. and worked with them from 1971 to 1986.

I became a desk, stock trader on C.A.T.S. which is Computer Assisted Trading Systems which is universally used today.  I took my Canadian Securites Course, became an Options Trader and also became the first female professional stock trader in the history of the Canadian Stock Exchange.  This entailed making markets, mainting a bid and ask, in 18 stocks.  One of which was Maple Leaf Gardens. I was transferred to London, England with an order to set up a new office, on Pall Mall, and to trade from London directly to the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange.  This was a very exciting time in my life and I loved every minute of it.

Personal Interests

I enjoy reading immensely, love to golf and belong to two ladies leagues, enjoy gardening and spending time with family

My husband Garry and I have, between us, 4 children, ranging in age from 40 to 25 and 7 grandchildren, ranging in age from 16 years old to 5 months old.   Family get togethers are hectic but wonderful

Personal Background

Born and raised in Timmins, Ontario.  My father was French Canadian and my mother is Armenian.  I have lived in Cobourg since 1989 and have one son, Eric, who is a recent honours graduate from Laurentian University with a degree in history and philosophy. He is now in Windsor at Teachers College and will soon return to Northern Ontario with his wife Amy and daughter, Eve.

Garry is the  broker of record of our firm and collectively we have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.  The grandchildern are all in hockey therefore we are constantly at the arenas.

Community Involvement

I am a member of Inner Wheel which is the wives, mothers, sisters of Rotarians and we meet once a month for dinner and we have a number of fundraising events.  We donate our money to local groups, hospice, big brothers and big sisters, etc. I enjoy this group very much.

I have also donated my time to the Food Bank and plan on doing more this year.  There is always a need for volunteers, not just money but time.

Century 21 has since the beginning been an active participant at the Relay for Life event in June and as a group we pitch tents, stay the night and generally support our community.  We raise a good amount of money but  it is better to give than to receive.

Garry and I, as well as some of our sales representatives, support Habitat for Humanity and donate a portion of every deal that we do to Habitat.  We believe that everyone deserves to have a roof over their heads and the hope that someday it will be theirs.

Ask me how to earn AIR MILES® reward miles when you buy or sell a home through me.
