What a fabulous summer we are enjoying here on Lake of the Woods! The town is hopping with tourists in addition to our regular summer residents and one can tell everyone is enjoying their time here based on the smiling faces. Difficult not to wear a big grin when each day is so beautiful and the waters of our lake are so inviting.
I love the rhythm of summer right from the first signs of early summer (re: fireflies, first dip in the lake) to the mid summer experiences (re: farmer's market full of wonderful fresh produce, exquisite baking goods like my daughter's gourmet brownies, the Shaw KBI) and then we start to see the almost -end- of -summer usual things like the LOWISSA and the evenings are just a tad bit cooler makingit so easy to sleep at night.
One of the other regular occurrences here in the summer is a definite change in the Real Estate market. It actually is rather subtle but to the trained eye, it is obvious. I am referring to how the market slows down ever so slightly in July and August. We start to see fewer buyers;they aren't in that much of a hurry to buy and multiple offers are not as frequent. This of course is wonderful news for buyers re: they don't have to compete! I will probably be short lived though because we usually see a return in multiple offers on listings come school season and the return of our Kenorians back to work.
That's it for me. Enjoy the fabulous summer!
