LAVAL
Laval is the largest suburb of Montreal , the third largest municipality in the province of Quebec, and the 14th largest city in Canada with a population of 368,709 in 2006. 2010 estimates put the population of the suburb at nearly 400,000.
Laval geographically is separated from the mainland to the north by the Rivière des Mille Îles, and from the Island of Montreal to the south by the Rivière des Prairies. Laval occupies all of Île Jésus as well as the Îles Laval.

The Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles alone is well worth the detour! Laval is also a reference in recreational sciences,, with its Cosmodôme , Armand-Frappier Museum and C.I.eau (water interpretation centre).

In June, the Loto-Québec World Choral Festival features thousands of choirists. Laval is also a recreational tourist destination with attractions such as SkyVenture, which offers the free fall experience, and the new Maeva Surf, for flowboarding.
