No matter how many ways I say it, there is still only a 5% down payment required when buying a home for yourself. Not 10% as CBC News erroneously reported on the radio yesterday (April 19th, 2010). Whether you are buying a home in Kentville, New Minas, Coldbrook, anywhere in Nova Scotia, and Canada, it is still ONLY 5% down.
