There was much debate and even a vote as to what to name the former "Westside", "Wetsbank" of Kelowna and as a result the name "District of West Kelowna" was approved by the voting public! One thing that is still missing is a logo for the Okanagan's and BC's newest municipality. West Kelowna council now has a working logo (See Above Conceptual Logo) ...

The Province of B.C. and the City of Kelowna recently announced a $23.5 million partnership project to widen Highway 33 to four lanes between Muir Road and Gallagher Road.
