Welcome to Bel Air Heights!

Including multiple recreational centers, schools and churches, Bel Air Heights is one of the most family friendly neighbourhoods in Ottawa. Well-suited for families young and old, Bel Air Heights consists of primarily single-detached houses. Major housing development was completed by Robert Campeau between 1958 and 1961. A range of bungalow and two-storey style homes make for a comfortable and proficient neighbourhood.

Recreation Facilities

Living in Bel Air Heights does not only offer residents with a friendly environment to grow, but also provides easy access to park land, such as Navaho Park, Ainsley Park, Agincourt Park, and Bel Air Park, and bike routes (with over 11 km of paved path in the area). There are numerous outdoor recreation facilities and major community centers are only a short distance away, tennis courts and public outdoor summer pools for example. A branch of the Ottawa Public Library is also found within the neighbourhood’s boundaries.

There are a number of schools in the area, including: Agincourt Public School, J.H. Putman Middle School, Charlotte-Lemieux Elementary School, and Neapean High School. Algonquin College is also nearby. Those looking to participate in regular mass may attend any of the following churches in the area: Trinity United Church and St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Chruch. There is a strong sense of community while not compromising spaciousness and privacy, and the area is primarily English speaking.

Transportation

Numerous OC Transpo bus routes run through the neighbourhood, including 51, 56, 151, 174, and 186 among others, providing handy public transportation access to any commuters in the area. Bel Air Heights is also situated close to the Maitland Avenue 417 Highway exit for driver’s convenience.
