Just a reminder that the final opportunity to take advantage of the HRTC is the end of January. Purchases made on or after Feb 1,2010 are not eligable.
However,if you are planning to renovate after Feb 1,2010 and the supplies were purchased prior to Feb 1,2010 you would be able to take advantage of the portion pertaining to supplies.

Over the holidays I like to give back to the community. This year I had the opportunity to lend a hand at Youth Haven. I was delighted to be involved with Christmas dinner however, I was saddened by the thought of teenagers and what circumstances have brought them to Youth Haven.

Sales activity in the area served by the Barrie District Association of Realtors Inc. continues to climb.
According to stats provided by the association,MLS residential sales totalled 329 units for November 2009. More than double the activity in the same month last year.
Could this mean that consumer confidence is on the rise?

Homeowners are still confussed with questions regarding the HRTC. The HRTC is a non-refundable tax creedit based on eligible expenses for improvements to your house,condo or cottage. You may claim on your 2009 tax return. It applies to eligible purchases after Jan 27/09 and before Feb 1/10.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
You and your spouse/common law and children under 18 years of age at the end of 2009.

Great news.....I am happy to report that our weekend of serving chili for winterfest raised over $7.000.00 with proceeds going to Easter Seals. Thanks again to all of those who supported this worthy cause.

I am always happy to lend my time to a worthy cause. Century 21 continues to support Easter Seals. I was asked to volunteer my time to a charitable event. The event was the Chili Fest the 7th and 8th of February. The two day event was part of Barrie's Winterfest and was held at the South Shore Community Centre. A great time was had by all who attended and I was happy to be involved.
