Griffintown housing boom brings change, opportunities

Demand for Griffintown land continues despite the slowdown in the Montreal Island condo market, where median prices are expected to remain virtually flat in 2014, after almost a decade of steady appreciation.

According to a January report by Altus Group, 92 per cent of the Griffintown condo units delivered in all of 2013 were sold. And while fewer new projects were launched in Griffintown last fall, 65 per cent of the 2,600 available units at that time were sold, the report said.
