I don't usually post personal adventures but for those of you who love nature, my wife and I discovered a few years ago a place we cherish very much. It's in the Laurentians about 1h45-2h00 from Montréal. It's called Rivière-Rouge. You can easily find a few neighboring camping sites if you want to stay over for a few days or more. What we like about this place is its river and it is well known from kayakers. The current is very strong but as you paddle down, you get to find regular sand banks making the scenery exceptional and it's also very pleasant to just stop, get out of the boat, and relax... So, here's a few shots I took from about one month ago when I went camping with my wife and my two boys.
