Kalamalka Lake and Provincial Park are also one of the most beautiful places to visit as it is virtually at Vernon's back door. The park boasts 978 hectares of undeveloped beauty. Kalamalka Lake is known to locals, as the lake of a 1000 colours, it's beauty must be seen first hand to be truly appreciated.
O'Keefe Ranch a Major Player in Establishing the North Okanagan. The O'Keefe Ranch was established in 1867 and operated by the O'Keefe family for the next 110 years. In its earliest days, the ranch was at the end of the wagon road into the Okanagan Valley and the site of the stage coach depot for the Okanagan Post Office, the first in the valley. Today the O'Keefe Ranch is a museum / heritage site where we can see and experience a glimpse of the past.
