You might be wondering how the Real Estate market is doing in South Surrey/White Rock. Whether you are thinking of selling, buying, or just interested in the Real Estate market in general, it’s good to have an understanding of how the market stands.
In 2013, there were a total of 1,082 sales of detached homes in the South Surrey/White Rock area. This is an increase of 10.3% over total sales for 2012, which is encouraging, given that the number of listings increased by just 3.0% over the same time period. The benchmark price (i.e. the price of a typical property in this market) was $854,300 in December 2013, compared to $822,500 in December the year before, representing a 3.9% increase.
For the Eglin-Chantrell neighbourhood specifically, however, the benchmark price for a detached home was actually much higher, at $1,309,800 in December 2013. This represents a 6.79% increase in price since December 2012, and makes Elgin-Chantrell the highest priced neighbourhood of the South Surrey/White Rock market.
