In 2006, I was awarded the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation by the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. This Institute helps real estate professionals provide the highest quality of service to buyers and sellers of luxury homes, by offering training, certification and networking opportunities to those agents focused on the luxury residential market.
The certification itself requires agents to demonstrate the knowledge, experience and competence that the luxury market requires. In order to achieve the CLHMS designation, an agent must successfully complete the CLHMS training course, as well as have documented performance in the TOP 10% of their markets. For perspective, in the Metro Vancouver market this year, properties in the top 10% of the market start at $2.1 million. In order for an agent to achieve the CLHMS designation this year, they would need to close at least two transactions at or above this qualifying price within a 12-month period.
A Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist is ultimately the best luxury home expert in the field. They have proven their ability to market luxury homes and estates, and know how to take care of their clients very well.
