January Home Sales have RISEN 58% across the Country

 

Canadian home resale volumes decreased in January 2010 compared with December  2009 but came in higher than the lowest levels in a decade, set in January 2009 as the country suffered through the global credit crunch and recession.

 The Canadian Real Estate Association reported 25,671 homes were sold across the country in January, up 58% from the same month a year previous when buyers had no confidence and the lending activity was minimal. The average price nationaly for homes listed on CREA’s Multiple Listing Service was $328,537, up 19.6 per cent from a year ago.
