Seeing as Oakville is ranked as one of the top cities to live in in Ontario, it’s no wonder that we continue to see the population grow and development increase.
North Oakville is no stranger to real estate development, infrastructure improvements and community improvements, with one major addition slated for later this year.
With the Ontario Ministry of Education approving funding and the ground breaking on January 14, the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) will open the North Oakville Preserve Catholic Elementary School this September.
The elementary school will house 671 kindergarten to grade 8 and special education students in 30 classrooms. The two-storey, 70,000 sq. ft. school’s design will encourage collaborative teaching spaces, as well as nutrition and fitness rooms and a childcare centre attached to the school.
The HCDSB is reviewing boundaries for the new school, which are said to be approved by March. Online feedback is encouraged and open until January 29.
