Tax, taxes, taxing questions,... feeling taxed? You are not alone..... Just trying to understand the new Proposed HST in British Columbia, can be a full course on its own. Just when you thought you got a handle on understanding the GST, PTT and PST now we got the HST. We are often told by the power above us that we, as realtors are not allowed to give legal or financial ( accounting) advice to our clients, so in view of this I will direct all your HST and other "taxing' questions to www.gov.bc.ca/hst  If you wanted to have a specific question answered, you can also email  CTBTaxquestions@gov.bc.ca  Hopefully these sources will be able to shed a light on this heavy subject. The Vancouver Real Estate board and the Canadian Real Estate Association are actively working with the BC Minister of Finance, Colin Hansen to see if there will be any relief in sight for the real estate industry in regard to the extra $$$ new home owners and commercial real estate consumers will have to shell out after July 1,2010.
