As a former student and Alumni of Sheridan college, I am please that they are building a new campus in Mississauga. With the growing number of population in Mississauga it is only fitting that we have a college to educate our young minds. I was very happy with my education for 3 years at Sheridan Oakville and I would recommend the school to anybody. They have great programs and teachers. Their technology is superior to most schools and they are up to date in today's job market. Here is a little article about the new project. Also check out my new commercial version 2.
Sheridan’s Mississauga Campus, set to open in the fall of 2011, will be located in the city centre at the corner of Duke of York Boulevard and Prince of Wales Drive. Its first phase will see the construction of a 150,000 gross square foot, 4-storey facility. The project is being designed by Rounthwaite Dick & Hadley Architects Inc.
The campus will accommodate 1,760 students, including 1200 business students, and 560 spaces dedicated to the training and re-training of new Canadians, foreign-trained professionals and unemployed workers.
Business study options will include a variety of diploma and graduate certificate programs, while new Canadians will be able to access language training, career advice and employment assessment services at Sheridan's new Mississauga campus.
Combined funding in the amount of $31.23 million for the project has been committed by the federal and provincial governments through the Knowledge Infrastructure Program.
