Professional Background

I have over 40 years experience in real estate. 27 years a accredited assessor for Province of Manitoba, and 17 years as a Realtor with Century 21. I have trained and mentored persons to become assessors and appraisers.

Community Involvement

I have worked as a cancer canvasser and managed the T-Ball baseball.

Personal Background

I grew up in a small rural farming community near Riverton where I learned how to look after livestock, and cultivate the land. I played baseball and football during my highschool years. I worked at aircraft overhaul of airforce jets. I married by lovely wife Marilyn in 1969 and lived in Winnipeg to 1974. In 1974 we moved to Steinbach and are enjoying our community. I  operate my wife's family farm near Vita. I crop approximately 100 acres. The farm is my recreational get away.       

Specialties

Familiar with Building code  and construction. This very helpful for first time buyers as I can point out concerns to first time buyers and advise.  Land quaility and the production capabilities of soils in area. This very helpful for buyers moving in the area south and east of Winnipeg.

Personal Interests

I enjoy restoring and operation older farm tractors. I currently have 5 tractors, full line of implements and a combine harvester. We have a 28 month old grandaughter that my wife and I enjoy visting and baby sitting on Wednesdays ( grandparents day). During the winter we like to go south for a week or two. 

Education

Completed and graduated from Public Administration at University of Manitoba.  Accredited assessor Provonce of Manitoba 1977. Building Code course Manitoba 1992 accredited.
