Smart Gardening is Niagara Region's way of promoting environmentally friendly lawn and garden practices.
You can be a smart gardener by composting, leaving grass clippings on lawns (grass cycling), conserving water, reducing the use of pesticides, and choosing an alternative to salt for ice and snow melting during the winter.
Smart Gardening is the natural way for Niagara. It means greener lawns and gardens, and a healthier environment.
