The Century 21 'Walker Team' of the Thornhill Community Hockey League provided many thrilling moments while competing in the the Tony Roman Tournament. This exciting event is in it's 37th year and has become a favorite of players and parents alike. It is played over 2 weekends and wraps up on Sunday January 17th.
There are 134 teams participating in the competition, 41 teams from Markham Minor Hockey Association, 43 teams from the Thornhill Community Hockey League and 50 teams from the Unionville Minor Hockey Association. There are hockey games scheduled with over 2000 young hockey players participating, It is known as the World’s Largest House League Hockey Competition.
It was fantastic watching these kids play together as team. Coach Vartan Kasbarian has done an incredible job of instilling a fun atmosphere that has these boys working at their top potential. Tune in next week to find out the results.
