Increase in New Construction expected across Canada. ...

CIBC has done a study that says that Canadian immigration has been underestimated by around 100,000 new Canadians entering our country. Collier's International says this will further fuel the new housing market in Canada. Approximately 70% of the population growth in Canada comes from immigration. Not only that these new Canadians play a key role in demand for new housing in places such as Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. That will likely filter into our Okanagan Shuswap housing market in the next few years. Half of these people are aged 25-44. This is the age group that drives our economy and starts families and work to build their futures.
