An extremely popular area due to its central location, quality homes and consolidation of heritage homes. Although most homes in the area were built between 1950 and 1985, East Hill boasts some newer subdivisions north of 43rd Avenue. The area contains a few duplexes, but most dwellings are single family residential. Schools for this area include Silver Star Elementary, Hillview Elementary and Vernon Senior Secondary. The most famous heritage home is the Caetani Residence, which is now a cultural center.  Many people love the area, as it is walking distance to Downtown Vernon.  The boundary of East Hill is the area east of 27th Street, north of Highway 6 to BX Road, above Pleasant Valley Road and below Pleasant Valley Road to Silver Star Road, then east to the easterly boundary of the City of Vernon.
