If you're like me, you would prefer to hibernate in winter. Extra blankets on the bed, curling up on the couch with hot chocolate watching a corny Christmas movie, and wearing lots of layers when I have to leave the house or the office!
But this concert may just entice me outside this December. I've always loved jazz music, especially when I was a member of the Nepean All-City Jazz Band. Being surrounded by such energy and with people who share affinity for the genre was comforting. So why not take it to the next level and enjoy some Creole jazz music?!
Go check out the Preservation Hall Jazz Band on December 17, 2013 at the Dominion-Chalmers United Church as part of the Ottawa Jazz Festival. Bring some of that warm, Lousiana sound to your ears while enjoying some classic - and maybe some not-so-classic! - Christmas music.
