2017 Perth Kilt Run

Town of Perth to host world record Kilt Run for 2017

NEWS Jan 18, 2017 Perth Courier

The annual Perth’s World Record Kilt Run will be hosted in Heritage Perth, June 24, 2017. Organizers of this year’s event have opened the 2017 “All Things Maple” Kilt Run registration for the 8km, the Royal Mile, and the kids' races at www.perthkiltrun.ca

Mary Stewart of Running Goat Inc. has been hired by the Town of Perth as the Perth Kilt Run Planning Consultant to oversee the race details for this year’s event. The theme for this year’s races ties in to Lanark County’s claim of being the Maple Syrup Capital of Ontario and will add to the Town of Perth’s celebrations for Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Volunteers will play a very key role in the event, as in previous years, to ensure that the races and activities occur without a hitch. Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Mary Stewart at therunninggoat@cogeco.net

Mayor John Fenik stated, “We are thrilled to see this unique event continue as it draws people from around the world to experience what the Town of Perth has to offer. We welcome this new partnership and look forward to the excitement this event generates in the town every year.” The current registration fee will increase after Jan. 25, so get online and register today!
