At City Council Monday, one issue that came up was the plan for fulfilling Council's pledge to the St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation. 

The $350,000 in reserve will be given to STEGHFand Treasurer William day recommended raising $350,000 each year following to be paid on July 1, until the pledge of $3.5 Million Dollars is reached.  Day said it was ultimately up to Council, and they followed his advice - this means they'll pay the Foundation $700,000 on July 1 of this year, until they reach the 3.5 Million.
