The Story Of Our Manifesto

This is what we value at Foat and Associates. We call it Our Manifesto.



Here's the story of how it came to be:

Tim was in Orlando in October for the Curaytor Excellence ConferenceChris and Jimmy, conference organizers, value the conversations that happen at the bar as much as the sessions during the day.

One night they put everyone on busses and headed for a cowboy bar. There were shots of moonshine while the band played Sweet Home Alabama and they took turns riding the mechanical bull.

There was also a flood of ideas exchanged between the most innovative and successful realtors in North America.

At one point in the night, Tim found himself talking Instagram and the proper way to request a song from the band with Stephanie Lanier and Sarah Coe from the Lanier Property Group in South Carolina. Their team is authentic and good hearted to the core. The kind of people you trust, want to be around, make you laugh, and want on your side during the largest transaction of your life.

Tim checked out their website and was struck by their Manifesto. So much more than just words on a website. They lived it.

The philosophy of the Foat Team is so similar to the Lanier's; Tim had to share the Manifesto with Karalee. It resonated immediately.

They got to work writing their own.

A few weeks later, Karalee showed what she had to Tim and Melanie at their weekly meeting.

Over the next few days they added and deleted, tinkered and thesaurused. It had to be right. It had to be authentic. It had to show the world what makes us unique.

We turned the finished product into a graphic, sat back in our chairs and stared at it.

We nailed it. This is who are. This is who we strive to be. As it says, this is why we get up everyday.
