The neighbourhood of Clarke is located on the east side of Milton along James Snow parkway in what we consider ‘the older part of new Milton’ and is considered the original Hawthorne Village. Homes here were built around 2001 and primarily by Mattamy Homes.

Since James Snow Parkway runs along the east side of Clark it offers the residents of this neighbourhood the convenience of immediate access to the 401 just to the north. Additionally James Snow Parkway was expanded down to Britannia from Louis St. Laurent in recent years and will be further expanded all the way down to the 407 in the coming decade.

Similar to other homes in neighbourhoods like Dempsey and Beaty you’re going to find medium-size lots here as well when looking at detached homes. The lot sizes will be relatively standard throughout new Milton however you will find deeper and wider lots in neighbourhoods like Clarke, Dempsey and Beaty which allow for more outdoor living space. When Clarke was built the price point in Milton hadn’t yet climbed to where they are today and so builders needed to offer more in order to bring the price point above their fixed costs which meant a bigger lot and decent sized homes.

For dog owners Clarke is a great neighbourhood as it has Milton’s only dog off leash park.

One of the features within Clarke is Trudeau Park which is a great sized Park surrounded by a round-about.

The two schools within Clarke are St. Anthony Catholic and Bruce Trail public. St. Anthony Catholic is not listed on the Fraser Institute’s website however Bruce Trail public is in well it does sit on the lower end of public schools within Milton is still in the top 37% of schools and Ontario.

Our unique feature within Clarke is the Thompson Square Live/work buildings. These buildings have an apartment on the second and third floor with the ground floor being occupied by commercial space. You’ll find a variety of types of stores here ranging from Telus communication to barbershops in coffee houses. This location offers convenience to the residence within Clarke.

Clarke currently has another development underway with homes being built by Mattamy homes and Beaver Hall homes with completion being anticipated around June 2014.
