Are you a young entrepreneur in the Halton Region?

Are you between the age of 18 and 29, out of school and want the opportunity to get hands-on training and apply for a $5,000 grant to turn your business idea into reality through the Starter Company program. The Starter Company program can provide training and business skills development to help young adults create a business plan and prepare you to run your own business. Local business professionals and consultants also offer mentoring and guidance to help these entrepreneurs get their business of the ground. Young entrepreneurs may also be eligible for a grant of up to $5,000 to help kick-start a new business or expand or buy an existing business.  Starting in January, two information sessions will be offered every month where young entrepreneurs can learn how Starter Company can help grow their business idea and learn more about the grant application process. The first session is Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road in Oakville. For further information please visit
