Selling your home can be eventful and adding the holidays can be stressful if not prepared for it. A good plan is to prepare way ahead of time and while doing that talk to your Real Estate Agent to see what suggestions they may have for you. Decorating for the holidays is fun but you don’t want to clutter your home. It is always nice for evening viewing to have the Christmas lights on to add more wow to first sightings of the home.
You don’t want to take away from the home the everyday look to much so buyers can see themselves living there. Make sure that it is easy to go room to room and it isn’t over done.
Involve the whole family on keeping the home viewing ready. If everyone including children have something they can do daily it will make for light work once a call comes for a viewing. Possibly just before the showing, bake some cookies so the aroma is throughout the home making it smell like home as they enter.
Keep the walkway clear and maybe have a mat just outside the door to kick the loose snow and salt off their boots. Have a boot tray just inside so they have a place to put them and keep your floors sparkling clean.
Enjoy the Holiday Season!
