Park N Putt solves complaints of "too successful" fundraising golf tournament
The Home Hardware Shannon Kimmitt Memorial Golf Tournament is just too successful!
Organizers have had to contend with a complete sell-out every year and that is not going over very well with residents of The Fort. Seems folks have been complaining that "they" would like to support the fundraiser as well, but if the golf tournament is always sold-out, what can they do?
The result came from brilliant local realtor and sometime internet radio guy Gary Gordon when, in an uncommon bout of imagination, he suggested that a putting competition would be easy and inexpensive for most anyone, and above all - fun!
So, The 1st Annual FortRadio.com Park N Putt begins at 11:00 AM this Saturday, during the Shannon Kimmitt Memorial Golf Tournament. Folks can drop by the Fort Saskatchewan Golf & Curling Club, park the car, pay $5 and putt for a chance to win prizes. Players will have 3 strokes to sink a ball on a mini-Par 3; if they get it in the hole they receive an entry for a chance to win prizes supplied by local businesses! Kids can putt for only a Toonie!
