Chautauqua Community
Located within the boudary of Niagara on the Lake's Old Town, adjacent to the southern shore of Lake Ontario is the unique urban setting of Chautauqua. This community is a collection of small streets that are organised resembling a wheel with side streets as spokes attached to the wheel. There is walking access to Town via Niagara Boulevard and Queen Street. This is a short stroll following the shoreline which offers the finest waterfront homes in the Region and one of Canada's oldest golf courses.
The housing is a combination of small ecletic cottages, modern homes and vacation rentals. There are also several Bed & Breakfast Homes in the neighbourhood allowing visitors a chance to experience the charm of this area. Mature trees provide great shade for those warm summer days and great access to the waterfront. Whether you wish to dip in the water for a swim, skip rocks from the beach or watch a sailboat glide past this is a great place to enjoy nature.
Chautauqua offers a couple parks, one with a playground for children the other is a waterfront park with one of the best sunsets on Lake Ontario. Bring a glass of wine, grab a bench or a piece of lawn and enjoy. This charming neighbourhood allows people of different ages and tastes to live together and enjoy a truly unique setting.
