The Maples is located in the northwest part of Winnipeg and it is bounded east of McPhillips, north of Inkster and south of Leila and consists of relatively newer neighbourhoods. The Maples has had significant development in the past 20 years. The Maples is managed by the Seven Oaks School Division which includes seven schools; Arthur E Wright School (K-8), Ecole Constable Edward Finney School (K-5), Ecole Leila North Community School (6-8), Elwick Community School (K-8), James Nisbet Community School (K-5), Maples Collegiate (9-12), and O.V.
