LOOMING HARMONIZED SALES TAX

While the new 13% HST will not be charged on new home purchases, the materials used to construct these new homes, and all the fees and levies associated with new home building will be subject to the new tax.  This increase in fees will be passed on to the new home buyer in the form of a higher purchase price.  As well, resale home buyers will need to pay the new tax on legal fees, closing costs, moving expenses, utilities, etc.  The K-W Real Estate Board estimates that the new HST will boost the cost of purchasing a resale property by as much as $1900.  There is an ample supply of listings available now for you to view at your convenience.  Send me an e-mail at hoshjay@hotmail.com to set up your personal appointment.
