September 2017 was another month of growth for Montreal’s residential real estate market, according to the GMREB’s Centris® statistics.
In total, 2,893 residential sales were concluded for the month, a 6% increase compared to September of last year. By property category, this increase represents an 11% growth for condominiums, 23% growth for the plexes and a 1% decrease for single-family dwellings.
The median price of single-family dwellings reached $318,000, an increase of 5% compared to September 2016. The median price of plexes also went up by 5%, to reach $475,500. The median price of condominiums reached $253,000, a modest increase of 1%.
The supply of residential properties for sale fell 12%, the 24th consecutive decrease.
