Culture Days Oakville 2015

It’s officially fall, and here in Oakville, that means celebrating Culture Days! Enjoy free entertainment with dancing, live music, art workshops, ceramic workshops, and a host of other fun activities for families, children, and adults this Saturday!

Why Do We Have Culture Days?

Canada has always been a magnet for people from various cultures and in celebration of that, Culture Days was born in 2009! Culture Days is a reminder that we Canadians, recognises the role that a vibrant culture and arts sector plays in a stable and healthy society.

The event aims to raise awareness, access, engagement, and participation of Canadians in the colourful cultural life of the communities they are a part of. The Culture Days celebration is a 3-day event celebrated throughout the country every September since its inception 6 years ago. It features thousands of cultural organisations and artists in towns and cities across Canada all working together to invite people to join in free interactive activities (including behind the scenes) to connect with their cultural spirit and passion.

Culture Days provides resources, tools, and support to cultural organisations and artists to help with uniting the country through cultural engagement; thus, it is the leading national voice for promoting an active cultural life in Canada.
