August Cycling Events

Some upcoming cycling events to put on the calendar at home!


Sir Sam's 4 hour Race

Saturday, August 24, 11 a.m.

This a individual or team event 2-4 riders/team. 5 km laps. Fast riders can expect to come in around 18 minutes, while the average rider should expect lap times of about 25 minutes. The course is enjoyable for all including first-time racers.

$25 per rider with season’s pass or $35 per rider without season's pass. Fee includes cheeseburger or hot dog with salad & corn on the cob and some great prizes.
The race will be a mass start at 11 am. The teams that complete the most number of laps in 4 hours will be the winners. Awards at 3:15 on the deck.

Family Fundo

Friday, August 9, 5:30 pm

Bring the family to the Minden Community Centre & Fairgrounds,55 Parkside Street in Minden from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. and enjoy a family-friendly, fun, safe and educational bike path ride for kids 12 years of age and under. Learn about safe cycling, bike maintenance and enjoy a BBQ and exciting prizes!

Minden 150 "Ride for Relief"

Saturday, August 10, 8 am

40, 70 and 150 km route options, each featuring safe, scenic routes that start and finish at the Minden Community Centre and Fairgrounds. This year's proceeds will support flood relief for Minden.
