Haliburton County has wildlife some people have never seen.
The Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre is a place where you can observe a pack of wolves roaming freely in a 15 acre enclosure. Haliburton also has the largest volunteer-run fish hatchery in the Province.
Algonquin Park offers visitors the chance to see wildlife such as: moose, fox, deer, beaver, rabbits, bears, wolves, otters, chipmunks, turtles, red squirrels, plus over 270 bird species including swans, geese, loons, turkeys, ducks, herons, hawks, hummingbirds and owls.
Although, if you live or cottage here sometimes the wildlife comes to you. The deer in this picture was just walking across my yard and posed for a picture.
Come wander in Haliburton County.
